OEA-PAC

Using the collective power of educators to elect pro-public education champions in Oregon.
OEA-PAC members canvass for pro-public education

About OEA-PAC

OEA PAC is OEA’s political action committee (PAC) – the tool that Oregon educators can use to help financially support pro-public education candidates who earn the endorsement of OEA members. The OEA PAC only exists because OEA members like you have chosen to make voluntary contributions to help educators build power and improve public education in Oregon.

Together with The NEA Fund for Children and Public Education, the OEA PAC allows individual educators to combine their political contributions with thousands of other members from across the state to elect leaders who are passionate about public education and who understand and value the contribution that educators make to improve lives here in Oregon.

The OEA PAC supports candidates at every level of Oregon politics. Whether it's helping elect a public education champion to a local school board, or helping send someone who understands education issues to the governor's office - OEA PAC is fighting to ensure that our state's decision-makers hear our voices and will stand with us as we fight to improve public schools in Oregon.

How can my contribution of $100 make a difference?

Over 10,000 of your fellow members have taken the challenge and give between $25 and $150 to OEA PAC every year. This makes OEA PAC one of the largest PACs in the state, giving recommended candidates over $800,000 in each of the last two elections.

Don’t membership dues already pay for this?

No. OEA does not use member dues to provide financial support to candidates running for elected office. Instead, we rely on voluntary contributions made to the OEA PAC to help elect pro-public education candidates who are endorsed by our members. Your contribution to OEA PAC is eligible for the Oregon Political Tax Credit
